Rooms

Three rooms. Each is a photograph, not a list of fittings.

The Lake Room

The Lake Room

A bed, a window, the water in the morning.

The room faces the lake. The window opens inward. There is enough space for two, and a chair if someone wants to read before the house wakes.

The Grove Room

The Grove Room

The quieter room, facing the walnuts.

Light comes through linen. The tiles keep the floor cool. This is the room we give to people who sleep late and want the house, not the view, first.

The Terrace Room

The Terrace Room

The door opens onto the table.

Breakfast is set outside when the weather holds. In the evening the same table takes a lamp and two glasses. The room behind it is simple on purpose.
