Bistro Monk
Even in Prague's Old Town you can get a meal like from your grandma.
Bistro Monk sits inside a former monastery in the heart of Prague's Old Town. The space respects the origin of the building, with preserved historical features and walls decorated with scenes of its former inhabitants.
The lily
The identity follows the history of the monastic order and its sign, the lily. The blossom opens in phases as the bistro shifts its menu from morning to evening, so the mark changes through the day like the room does.
Made by hand
Signage is routed timber, the walls carry scenes of the building's former inhabitants, and the print keeps to one ink. The identity had to feel like it had always been there.
